In March 1998, we adopted our first greyhound, a beautiful blue brindle boy named Sprint. Then in May 1999, we adopted our second greyhound, Trimmer, a white fawn brindle girl. We were amazed at how well they adapted to their new home and new sibling, Abbie, our black lab/mix.
We started volunteering with our local greyhound group chapter helping out at Meet-n-Greets and becoming foster parents. In 2002, I decided to make and donate hound coats to all the greys in foster care. I soon had foster parents asking for coats for their “kids” and that is how coats4greys came into being.
